How to review a family's full history

Quick answer: Open the family's record — every section (Conversations, forms, payments, notes, volunteer hours) shows the family's history in that area.

What you can review

  • Conversations — every email and message sent to the family
  • Forms — every form the family has been asked to complete and its status
  • Payments — every tuition payment, refund, and outstanding balance
  • Notes — every observation your team has recorded
  • Volunteer hours — every event signup and credit (if applicable)
  • Tags — the family's enrollment history across academic years

Step-by-step

  1. Open Contacts and find the family.
  2. Look through each panel of the family profile. Center panel shows Conversations and typically the most important modules; left panel shows fields; right panel shows additional modules.
  3. For specific history — just payments, for example — focus on that module.

Tips

  • When a family has been with your school for years, the history is rich. Reviewing it before a difficult conversation gives you context that helps.
  • Tags act as a year-by-year enrollment record. A family tagged enrolled 23/24, enrolled 24/25, enrolled 25/26 has three consecutive years visible at a glance.
