How to view a family's communication history

Quick answer: Open the family's record. The Conversations module in the center panel shows every email, text, and message sent to the family.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Contacts and find the family.
  2. The Conversations module is always in the center panel of the family profile. It can't be moved or removed.
  3. You'll see a chronological list of emails, text messages, and other communications.
  4. Click any message to see its full content and delivery status (sent, delivered, opened).

What this is useful for

  • Confirming a family received an important notice before following up
  • Investigating "I never got that email" claims
  • Understanding what a family has already received this year before sending another message

Tips

  • "Delivered" doesn't mean "read." It means the email server accepted the message. "Opened" is a better signal the parent actually saw it.
  • If an email shows as undelivered or bounced, the parent's email may be wrong or their inbox may be flagging your school as spam.
