How to restore tags you accidentally removed

Quick answer: Go to Contacts → Bulk Actions, find the bulk remove action, click the three-dot menu, and choose Restore.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Contacts from the main menu.
  2. Navigate to Bulk Actions.
  3. Find the bulk tag removal you want to undo. The list shows the most recent actions first.
  4. Click the three-dot (kebab) menu to the right of the action.
  5. Click Restore.
  6. The restore process runs as a new bulk action. You'll see it appear in the Bulk Actions list, and progress is tracked the same way.

When this works

  • Works for any bulk tag removal you've done.
  • Adds the removed tags back to the exact families they were removed from.

Tips

  • Restore is the safety net for bulk operations. If you realize a mistake within hours or even days, you can undo it.
  • If you've made other tag changes between the mistake and the restore, those changes are kept — restore only adds the removed tags back, it doesn't reset everything to the original state.
