How to update a parent's contact information

Quick answer: Open the family's record and click the field you want to change. Changes save automatically.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Contacts and find the family.
  2. Click the field you want to change — name, email, phone, address. Most fields are inline-editable.
  3. Edit the value.
  4. Click outside the field (or press Tab/Enter) to save.

When you change an email

Changing a parent's email changes where future communications go. If a parent reports they're not receiving emails, check whether their email is correct and current. The wrong email is the most common cause.

Tips

  • Most fields save automatically. There's no separate Save button on the family record.
  • If a parent changes their phone number, update it right away. Growth Suite uses the primary phone number for SMS and call routing.
